Stem Co-ordinator Teacher of Physics
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and committed STEM Co-ordinator and Physics teacher. Governors are looking to appoint an innovative and well-qualified teacher. Ensuring that all elements of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are incorporated into STEM activities and involving staff from other departments whenever possible.
• Coordinating STEM activities across all year groups.
• Running STEM activities, competitions and visits.
• Working with local businesses and universities to provide STEM opportunities for students.
• Providing STEM training for relevant departments.
• Providing reports for the school newsletter, SLT and governors on STEM activities.

Essential educational requirements
Experience of teaching the 11-16 age range, and working knowledge of the current curriculum.
Interest in and willingness to teach students in Key Stage 3-5.
Degree or equivalent qualification and a teaching qualification.
Up-to-date in-service training in subject and whole school issues.
Essential skills and experience
Working knowledge of the National Curriculum, issues and developments.
Highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Excellent administration and organisation skills.
Excellent information and communication technology skills.
A flexible and open-minded approach to learning and teaching with an understanding and proven practice of differentiation.
A commitment to raising achievement across the whole age and ability range.
Ability to multi task and deal with numerous challenges simultaneously .
