What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Claydon High School as an Instructor working alongside colleagues in the STEM curriculum areas of Science and DT.

The post will involve planning and delivery whole class instruction, interventions for smaller groups alongside experienced colleagues and assessing and feeding back on student learning. In addition the successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake a pastoral role with students which may be of interest to colleagues considering a potential career in teaching. Other general classroom cover may be required within the timetable on some occasions.

The successful candidate will:

• Be passionate about supporting young people and helping them to be the best they can be.
• Have experience of working with young people.
• Be a great communicator.
• Be a calm team player who shows energy, enthusiasm, humility and humour.
