You will be overseeing our students who are on a Multi-Agency Plan within the Academy, building links and working in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals. You will work to promote the well-being and improve the attendance and punctuality of the children and young people in the care of the academy. This is a full time (37 hours per week) all year round role with 26 days annual leave initially, rising to 29 days after 5 years service.

Our new colleague will also benefit from being part of Ormiston Academies Trust, a MAT of 43 primary and secondary academies. The Trust’s vision is for all young people to have access to the highest academic, social and practical skills required to achieve their full potential. OAT support all staff so that they can enhance and develop their professional skills whatever their role within the trust.

Ormiston Academies Trust is an ethical sponsor, committed to improving the life chances of young people. We share their vision for all young people to have the highest academic, social and practical skills to allow them to lead a fulfilling life.

Our successful candidate will contribute towards the provision of care, guidance and support for our students and ideally will have a sound knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures as they will act as DDSL over the holiday periods in the absence of the DSL.

You should have:

  • Experience of working with children/young people and their families (11 -18) in a voluntary or professional capacity.
  • Experience of working in partnership with external agencies including local safeguarding partnerships.
  • Strong literacy, ICT and communication skills.
  • Min level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent plus GCSE Math’s and English grade C or above.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment with conflicting priorities & requiring high levels of accuracy.

If you would relish the opportunity of working with us and have the skills and experience we are looking for, then we would welcome your application.

If you have any queries, please contact the academy via email at: admin@ocacademy.co.uk

The closing date for applications is 6 December 2024, early applications are encouraged and we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should a suitable candidate be found.
