What skills and experience we're looking for
Who are we? Firstly, it’s important to know that we are not a Pupil Referral Unit, ELECT work as an extension of Temple Moor High School with the purpose of supporting our students to remain in mainstream education. We are in a privileged position, able to intervene, influence and provide the support required to change the course of a young person’s future. This is a genuinely rewarding role, offering YOU the opportunity to have a positive impact on outcomes for young people, making a real difference to real lives.
What makes our ELECT provision different?
- Based on-site at Temple Moor High School (TMHS) we are a small and welcoming team, working to support students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Our team has access to the full range of training, CPD, pastoral support and wellbeing initiatives provided by Temple Moor High School and Red Kite Learning Trust.
- We offer small group teaching and some 1:1 targeted support, empowering our Student Engagement Workers to really connect with our students, guiding them to make independent, well informed life choices.
- Our students are offered the full curriculum to continue on their journey towards GCSE. In addition to the main curriculum, our students are offered bespoke therapeutic sessions to assist with emotional regulation and self-esteem management.
