Student Progression Mentor job summary
Our school, over the last two years has expanded to include two additional year groups and in these exciting times we are seeking the right people to join us to increase our capacity to give the students the support they deserve.
The role is to support students on a one-to-one basis with curriculum support, anger management sessions and supporting small groups with class-based activities. The role will involve working under the direction of a class teacher.
This is an ideal opening for an experienced Teaching Assistant or Classroom Support Mentor to join our pro-active team. You will support students across a range of different subjects, therefore you do not need in depth subject knowledge, and instead, skills in working with challenging behaviours and or pastoral needs of students are required.
We are looking for a confident and proactive individual with a calm and empathetic nature to work with us.

An NVQ 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable for this role but we would also greatly value the skills and experience that you bring from other positions.
