Student Services Manager job summary
About the role
Our Student Services is a vital part of our school community, supporting students with day to day issues such as first aid, stationery purchases, chromebook & uniform loans, lost timetables etc. As Manager, you will be ensuring that students queries and issues are dealt with in a friendly approachable way, and procedures in the department are efficient. You will be line managing a small team of staff, supporting and motivating them to do their best.
This is a full time role of 37 hours per week in office hours. The role is offered as a term time only role (38 weeks of the year).
What we are looking for
- Ability to communicate with students and staff in a professional, approachable manner
- Ability to use professional judgement on when more serious student issues need to passed onto our pastoral team
- Highly organised individual who will ensure that procedures in the department are efficient
- Good line management skills to ensure a well motivated, enthusiastic and high performing team.
- Strong administration and IT skills
- Previous administrative experience in a busy customer facing environment, although not necessarily a school environment
