Student Services Receptionist & Administrator job summary
About the role
Due to promotion within the school we are looking for a new person to work on our student reception, helping our students with issues such as uniform loans, chromebook loans, timetable queries, first aid etc. The successful candidate will enjoy helping young people and will also have the administrative and IT skills needed to give the best support. You will like working within a busy friendly team where no two days are the same
This is a full time role of 37 hours per week, starting no later than 8am each today to support our students as they arrive. The role is term time only (38 weeks per year)
What we are looking for
- Friendly, caring person who wants to help our students with any queries or first aid issues, ensuring they have a good experience of school (first aid training will be given)
- Ability to communicate with students, parents and staff in a professional approachable manner, dealing with queries promptly and accurately
- High attention to detail to ensure work is completed accurately
- Good team member, supporting and being supported by other members of the office team
- Strong admin skills, organisation skills and IT skills
- Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment, although not necessarily a school environment
- Previous experience working with children would be desirable
- Flexible, positive and open minded
