STUDENT SUPPORT & ATTENDANCE OFFICER

REQUIRED ASAP

NJC Level 3A (points 5-7), from £18,959 to £19,567 per annum for 32.5 hours per week term-time, plus 32.5 hours to be worked outside term-time (based on full-time salary of £24,790 to £25,584).

We are looking to recruit a Student Support & Attendance Officer. The successful candidate will be joining the school at a time of exciting change and will play a key role in maintaining and developing the outstanding nature of our care, guidance and support for students.

The role has three main parts:

  • Maintain accurate attendance records for the year group and follow up on concerns
  • Support the Head of Year and Assistant Head of Year in dealing with pastoral matters

We are looking for candidates who have good organisational skills and an ability to empathise with young people and communicate effectively with students and parents in a calm and effective manner. Previous experience of working in an educational setting would be an advantage.
