Are you looking for a fantastic new opportunity? The Nicholas Hamond Academy is looking for a Student Support Leader who strives to share their passion for education with our students and join our dedicated team to uphold the Academy’s vision and values.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and has a passion for supporting teaching and learning by establishing supportive relationships with students, helping to raise their self-esteem and develop a positive attitude to learning within a secondary Academy. You will relish the opportunity to work with young people in a vibrant and dynamic learning environment.
General Responsibilities
As part of our Pastoral Team, this position helps manage and improve the behaviour and progress of students within the academy. Supporting students to be ready to learn and to be happy, successful and positive members of the academy community. This position also includes supporting positive engagement between the academy and families.
The successful applicant will hold a good academic standard of general education to GCSE (grade C/4 in English & Maths, have strong literacy and numeracy skills and have experience of working effectively in a learning/student care setting.
