What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you a dedicated and successful teacher with the ambition to lead on improving students’ achievement and welfare?
Are you committed to restorative practice, upholding and promoting Broadway’s values and able to ensure behaviour polices are fully implemented?
Do you have the drive and resilience to deliver exceptional student progress and pastoral welfare across your cohort?
The Role:
- Manage the behaviour of all students in your year group
- Work with a group of form tutors to ensure core routines and behaviour expectations are made clear to students and implemented
- Work with safeguarding leads and the SENCO to promote safeguarding of all students
- Work with Heads of Department, the Inclusion Team and SLT regarding pastoral issues and the welfare of all students within the year group
- Guarantee the effective delivery of CEIAG, V for C, PDP and other programmes as appropriate to your year group
We require someone who:
- Has the experience and commitment to setting and maintaining the highest standards to achieve success for all students
- Is creative, enthusiastic and effective in supporting students
- Has the ability to inspire teachers, support staff and learners alike
- Shows commitment to promoting an enriched learning experience for all students
- Is able to produce and interpret data to support the monitoring and tracking of student progress, behaviour, attendance and punctuality
Each Student Support Manager is supported by a non-teaching Student Support Assistant and will receive a proportion of non-contact time to carry out their duties. SSMs should be flexible about the subjects they teach.
