Student Support Manager job summary
We are looking to recruit a Student Support Manager to lead the organisation and implementation of our internal exclusion provision. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and positive professional who can combine their passion for supporting young people with the ability to form positive relationships at the same time as maintaining high standards. It is likely that you will already have a proven track record of working with young people and supporting them to develop excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning.
With strong organisation and team working skills, you will work with other academy professionals to drive standards and help our students to achieve a good education leading to excellent outcomes. The role will support all students who access Student Support both academically and restoratively. It will implement effective organisation of the academy’s reporting and tracking systems to provide timely information to help raise standards.
We are looking for someone who:
• has high expectations of pupil progress;
• is passionate about education and developing a love of learning in students;
• has the skills to work collaboratively with the teaching and support teams;
• can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents;
• is willing to embrace or bring new ideas to the Academy;
• has ambition combined with a commitment to developing their own skills.
