Student Support Manager job summary

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Student Support Manager to join our vibrant school. You will work alongside our enthusiastic staff to promote positive behaviour, attendance and the overall wellbeing of students at the Academy. This will include mentoring students, monitoring behaviour and attendance and supervising students in our Inclusion Centre.

We seek someone with a passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference. You should have an excellent command of English and the ability to engage with and relate to students and their families/carers from diverse ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds. You will be part of a dedicated and active team who believe in curiosity, exploration and discovery. Our goal is to inspire and equip students to reach their potential by enhancing their confidence, achievements and ambition.

To support all staff, we have the following resources and initiatives in place:

  • Museum Learning Team – ideas and resources to support lesson delivery with off-site trips and exhibitions to stimulate learning
  • Extensive pastoral support - a strong team comprising a safeguarding team, Student Support Managers, Rising Standard Leaders and Family Liaison Officers  
  • Super Curricular Clubs – for discussion and debate to take the subject further
  • Caring School Culture - we put our children’s well-being at the centre of all decision-making
  • Strong SEND Support Team - working together to achieve the best possible support
