UTC Portsmouth is the only specialist STEM college in the region. Our college caters to 14-19 year-olds and we work closely with our industry partners to prepare our students for real-world careers, as well as stay at the cutting edge of industry and educational practice. Are you an enthusiastic team player with a passion for supporting students? UTC Portsmouth is looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our Care, Guidance, and Support Team.
This dynamic role encompasses three key responsibilities:
- Learning Support
- Cover Supervisor
- Student Mentor
To be successful in this role, you should have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above. Strong communication and organizational skills are crucial, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience working with young people is highly desirable. The role demands a patient yet assertive approach, with the ability to handle a variety of situations in a busy school environment.
Position Details:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
- Term time only plus 5 additional days
- Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 4:45 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 2:45 pm
