Based at:  St Christophers Academy, Dunstable

Salary/Grade range:  MPS 1-6 or UPS, depending on experience

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to join us at our inclusive and diverse primary academy in the role of Subject Lead (English/Maths)/Class Teacher. This role is a key post and will be instrumental in supporting the academy in the next stage of development, delivering outstanding outcomes for our children.   

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a desire to make a difference 
  • Be passionate about their chosen specialist subject, raising the profile within the academy and driving results
  • Be an enthusiastic and skilful teacher with the drive, enthusiasm and energy to foster positive relationships with staff, students, parents and our community for the benefit of all

Based in Dunstable, close to the border with Luton, St Christophers is part of the Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST).  Comprising ten flourishing academies and five Nurseries delivering first choice education, from Early Years to Advanced Level study. our vision is ‘to grow the BEST in everyone.’ We believe in the importance of high expectations, hard work and the development of a community of schools where each of us strive to ‘be the best that we can be.’  Our schools work together to add value and compete to continually improve.

Applicants must be willing to undertake a DBS clearance and the Academy must receive two satisfactory references before the successful candidate can commence employment.
