Subject Lead for Modern Foreign Languages (French&Spanish) job summary
You will be joining us at an exciting time of growth; we have recently successfully doubled our GCSE uptake and we need a confident and dedicated leader to ensure that the department continues to grow and thrive.
Main Areas of Accountability/Responsibility:We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and innovative individual to lead our MFL department increasing uptake at KS5.
Overall responsibility for all Key Stages
Design and implementation of curriculum intent for the subject area which challenges, motivates and inspires students
Overall responsibility for curriculum, schemes of work, assessments, monitoring and intervention
Raise the standards of student achievement in the curriculum area
To oversee the analysis of data at all Key Stages
The effective line management of designated staff

About the MFL department:
The department is staffed with experienced teachers and Foreign Language Assistant's, and collaborative planning is routine, and all share an ambitious vision for the teaching of French and Spanish.
We offer either French or Spanish at KS3, and both languages at KS4 (AQA). We currently offer A Level Spanish (AQA) and are aiming to build our KS5 provision to include A Level French.
We regularly offer residential trips to GCSE and A Level students.
