Subject Leader Art & Design job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished design technology specialist to lead an experienced team. Design technology has a well-established pedigree at Stowupland High School. All students in KS3 study design technology modules including resistant materials and food technology. We offer a full range of courses at KS4 and post-16.
You will be able to teach food technology to level 3 and have the skills to build on the department’s current strong position and take it to the next level.
The department is very well-equipped and enjoys fabulous facilities. Our new sixth form centre houses a state-of-the-art industry standard kitchen.
You will be at the heart of fundamental change. We are in the process of redesigning our catering offer for students and staff, and the Trust is committed to a long-term sustainability programme.

Our 11-18 school is located in the village of Stowupland one most rural parts Mid-Suffolk. It opened 1978 and its buildings were designed to blend with local architecture. The extensive use pantile roofs stained boarding are keeping character. A community sports centre 1999. We lead John Milton Academy Trust, have recently our new, dedicated Sixth Form building. You will be joining a close-knit team Trust that committed ambition, aspiration excellence for all.
