The Role

The Art team at TDA are an ambitious and aspiring team.

We are looking to appoint a Subject Leader for Art, for a fixed term, maternity cover, working in the Art Dept. A colleague who shares the departments enthusiasm and unwavering determination to help every student enjoy,achieveand progress inArt & Design from KS3 through to KS5.

The successful candidate will be an engaging and forward-thinking individual who will lead and continue to build the department Have proven expertise and be someone with a passion for their subject who will inspire and engage our students and be able to lead and manage a team effectively and know how to get the best from each teacher in the department. You will actively assist in the further development of Art & Design within the School.

You will:

  • Be a passionate, inspiring teacher.
  • Have leadership experience and a clear strategic overview.
  • Be able to monitor, track and analyse assessment data.
  • Have high expectations for the behaviour and academic progress of young people.
  • Use regular QA to identifying strengths and areas of development in line with the principles of effective teaching.
  • Line manage staff, leading and developing the team, holding individuals to account for delivery and outcomes.
  • Further developing links across TDET, encouraging consistency within assessment, standardisation, and moderation.
