Are you a skilled, ambitious, and passionate teacher of Art? Are you ready to lead a talented and supportive art team, with courses that are very popular at both Key Stage 4 and 5? Are you able to embed a culture of excellence, high-expectations, and a love of learning? Are you able to motivate and inspire a team to deliver the very best art curriculum?
The Hazeley Academy is seeking to appoint a motivated Subject Leader for Art to join our successful and well-resourced faculty. You will be a natural leader, capable of leading others to work with high standards and achieve exceptional results. You will have proven yourself as a talented teacher and now believe you are able to lead others to build on excellent results and a highly creative culture.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to enact and share their vision for art, possessing excellent teaching skills and an in-depth knowledge of the art curriculum, demonstrating the values of the 5 Dimensions Trust. You will have the confidence and communication skills to develop effective systems for home learning, assessment, feedback and an inspiring pedagogy.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a passion for teaching
Have experience of teaching across Key Stage 4 and 5, including exam groups
Have a high regard for their learning environment and resources
Aspire to be a talented, dynamic and an ambitious teacher, who will ensure good progress for all students
Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students
Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning
