Subject Leader for Chemistry job summary
Required for September 2019 a well-qualified and enthusiastic full-time teacher of Science, able to teach Chemistry to A-level and to lead development of the subject in this lively and high achieving girls’ selective school.
Science is taught throughout the school. Students take Triple Science at GCSE and a very substantial proportion go on to study A-Level sciences. The teacher appointed will assume responsibility for the delivery of Chemistry within a large, successful and very well resourced Science Department. The School has an ambitious STEM programme in which the Head of Chemistry will be expected to take a leading role.
This school, described by OFSTED as ‘outstanding’ (March 2009) and identified by the Sunday Times as “London State Secondary School of the Year (2019)”, encourages a wide range of extra-curricular activities. It provides a friendly working environment and offers established programmes of teacher induction and CPD.
