We are a 13-19 high school with 795 students on roll including post 16 provision for 200 students. We are a small school, with an excellent reputation within the area for our excellent examination results (both Year 11 and post 16) and our pastoral care for our students.
In 2016, the school moved into a new building with outstanding facilities. OFSTED arrived shortly afterwards and graded the school as good. In 2019, the school became part of the Tyne Community Learning Trust. The Trust is a small trust with 6 First schools, 2 Middle schools and our school, which is the only High school in the Trust.
