Subject Leader for Humanities job summary
Subject Leader of Humanities Required for September 2022 MPS/UPS + TLR £11,160.50 The University Academy Long Sutton is a popular 11 - 16 years Academy in the rural market town of Long Sutton, and is part of The University of Lincoln Academy Trust. This may bring the opportunity to work across 2 sites. The Academy demonstrated a significant improvement in results/P8 score for 2019 and a further improved positive P8 score for August 2020. We are looking for a very talented and dynamic Leader of Humanities who is able to inspire staff and students, be innovative and achieve outstanding results. The Academy provides extensive opportunities for Professional Development which would particularly benefit all levels of experience. In Key Stage 3 integrated Humanities is taught four lessons per week, encompassing History, Geography and RS. At Key Stage 4, we have three History and Geography option groups in each Year group. Computing is heavily utilised within the delivery of Humanities using Interactive Whiteboards and VLE. Learning Out of the Classroom opportunities are a key component to the success of Humanities with a variety of overseas trips and day visits calendared throughout the year.
