What skills and experience we're looking for

Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar, Alford are looking to appoint a full-time Subject Leader for PE for September 2023.

Ideally, we are looking for a colleague who is:

  • A qualified teacher and outstanding practitioner
  • A talented and dynamic teacher who can teach KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Energetic and can inspire and motivate students.
  • Keen to join a successful and collaborative department with good resources.

The PE department currently offers GCSE PE and A Level PE (AQA exam board) with access to a newly built Sports Hall, fitness suite and extensive sports fields. The department currently comprises a subject leader, 2 full time teachers and 1 part-time teacher. We offer a broad range of sporting activities, regularly arrange local fixtures and attend District competitions.
