The Minerva Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a Subject Leader of Physics. The successful candidate will work at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College.

SUBJECT LEADER OF PHYSICS
MPR/UPR - TLR 2A FULL TIME PERMANENT
REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2019
We require a Subject Leader of Physics. Applicants should be outstanding teachers who are passionate about the subject and have proven ability to raise levels of progress and attainment with pupils of all abilities in both key stages.
You will be responsible for the delivery and development of the Physics curriculum and work closely with the Subject Leader of Science to improve outcomes of all learners. In addition, this post is ideal for someone wishing to further their career and gain leadership and management experience. You will:-
• Have experience of teaching Physics to KS3 & KS4.
• Have the potential to become or are already an outstanding classroom practitioner with a real commitment to the young people in our school
• Have an enthusiasm for Physics and an awareness of current developments in teaching and learning
• Be a colleague who has high expectations of pupils and the personal qualities to contribute to the continued rise in standards across the department
• Have a willingness to be fully involved in the life of the Science Department and the school as a whole
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
