Would you like to work in a school where the culture of being happy and safe means pupils can, and do, enjoy being at school (Ofsted February 2018)

Are you an outstanding teacher with the passion and motivation to inspire young people?

If so, then you will not want to miss out on this golden opportunity to join our high-performing school, as Subject Leader for Geography. The person appointed will have a clear vision of what an outstanding Geography provision will look like and have the skills to lead in this area. They will be ambitious and see this role as a great stepping stone to a higher leadership position in the near future. The ability to teach the other Humanities subjects would be advantageous.

Why come to Latimer? This is a fantastic school to work in: as a result of our success and popularity we are over-subscribed and have a very strong positive reputation. On interview we ask candidates for their impressions of the College and without fail they comment on how wonderful our students are, the supportive team ethos amongst staff and how friendly and welcoming the College is.

We are a tight-knit unit striving for the very best for our students and we are focussed on, and passionate about, learning and success.

We genuinely care about our staff, their well-being and their professional development: we are a happy team, committed to working collaboratively and sharing the very best practice. This was very much recognised in our latest Ofsted Inspection.

If you are an outstanding Geography teacher aspiring to undertake a leadership role it really is worth applying for this post. We have a strong track record of succession planning and many of our current leaders have progressed to promoted posts within the College.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about learning; a team player who will thrive on collaboration and team work; someone who really wants to make a difference!

As a Performing Arts College our commitment to the Arts is strong and there is always something stunning going on in our Masque Theatre: you might see a rehearsal, stumble across an impromptu performance in the foyer or be part of the audience at an evening concert. Expect the unexpected and the amazing - because that is what you will get!

We value the contributions that our staff make to student outcomes and support them with being able to meet our high expectations through a co-ordinated performance management system for both teaching and non-teaching staff, with professional development at its heart.
