Subject Leader - Music job summary

Our school is keen to nurture music as part of a broad and rounded education.  Are you the person to help us lead this intent?

We wish to recruit a well-qualified and talented Subject Leader for Music. You will teach across Key Stages 3 – 5 where Music plays a key part of the curriculum within the School. We have a wide ranging input and collaboration with the Music Service and the school is proud of its instrumental ensembles and orchestra.

As a secondary phase University Training School we are working collaboratively with the University of Birmingham's School of Education to co-construct models of teacher training, and there may be opportunities from the academic year 2023/24 for the successful candidate to combine teaching and the leadership of our School's Music department with contribution to programmes for teacher trainees, including subject knowledge.

We will have high expectations of you to be an outstanding role model committed to the distinctive ethos of our School. In return, we will recognise your contribution through an enhanced package of pay and benefits subject to performance.
