Subject Leader of History & Religious Studies job summary
We seek to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dynamic Subject Leader History & RS to join our team. We pride ourselves on our high expectations, commitment to ensuring pupil progress and high-quality teaching and learning provision for all. You will share these values and be able to enthuse and motivate our pupils with your passion and creative teaching, presence and personality. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of high-quality teaching, supporting pupils to reach their potential and a commitment to securing the highest standards.

Our forward-thinking approach to ‘putting staff first’ is exemplified in out appraisal process, which means all staff have one objective which is linked to a disciplined inquiry. This is because we are a school that is passionate about teacher development. We want staff who are passionate about their own learning just as much as they are about their pupils’ learning. We can offer an extensive CPD programme, including a one to one coach with time allocated for instructional coaching and high quality CPD in reading and subject expertise CPD.
Our History & RS department is staffed by well-established teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils in making the best progress within their subject area. You would be leading a department of experienced staff who collectively have a wealth of knowledge to drive forward innovative and cutting-edge humanities education for all.
