The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint a dynamic, forward looking candidate with successful 11-18 teaching experience to the post of Subject Leader of Music. This is a superb opportunity for an excellent teacher with some experience of leadership to progress their career and lead on the development of teaching of Music and its associated subjects in a good school that is striving towards excellence.
Music plays an important part in the curriculum at Holy Trinity. We offer both Music and Music Technology (RSL) Level 2. We teach Music Performance and other music elements of the KS5 Performing Arts Course. The pandemic has presented challenges to a local community that serves Gatwick Airport but commitment to education has remained high throughout, with the school able to deliver over 10,000 hours of remote lessons. As students return to face to face education our passion for students to fulfil their individual gifts and talents within the creative subjects remains undiminished.
Applicants will need to demonstrate: their commitment to the teaching of Music and its associated subjects; their potential for leadership experience and their ability to teach both Music and Music Technology at KS4 and KS5. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with a clear vision for how Music can be delivered to a diverse community.
We offer a comprehensive induction and a fantastic programme of CPL. We also operate an extensive coaching network to share good practice and we engage all teaching staff in the TEEP programme to enhance our teaching and learning in the classroom. We support, empower and challenge staff to make a real difference in raising standards and have many examples of staff that have fast-tracked their career.
We are seeking a candidate who will commit to upholding our values and ethos as a faith school; however, applicants do not need to be a practising Christian.
This is a fantastic Church of England Voluntary Aided 11-18 mixed Comprehensive School where we pride ourselves in the pastoral care and development of all students. The post offers an unmissable opportunity for candidates wishing to make a positive impact on student and team progress, and who are able to provide innovative ideas to achieve this goal.
We intend to review applications as they are received and call those shortlisted for immediate interview. An early application is advised, as once we have appointed, we will close the recruitment process.
