What skills and experience we're looking for
We seek an outstanding practitioner of Product Design who is able to shape and lead this creative area of our curriculum. This post of Subject Leader may be of interest to an enthusiastic and emerging leader where leadership coaching will be provided, or a more seasoned specialist looking for a fresh professional challenge.
Our School benefits from learning spaces for design and technology fully fitted with truly state of the art machinery, which allows for the teaching of a range of disciplines including graphics, resistant materials, woodwork, CAD, and electronics. We have learners of product design at KS3, KS4, and A level, but will be looking for the successful candidate to advise and steer developments and changes across all phases.
The successful candidate will motivate and inspire both staff and students, demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills or potential, and be committed to inclusion and the well-being of every young person. Importantly, they will also have outstanding subject knowledge.
