The Forest School is a highly successful, friendly and dynamic 11-16 School, committed to achieving high standards and to developing the potential of all our students and staff. It is an exciting time in the history of the school as from September ‘21 the school had its first co-educational intake now has over 100 girls. This summer has seen our best Science results for a number of years with 74% of our students achieving two grade 4’s or above in the Trilogy GCSE. An important department in the school, the Science department is central to the school’s vision of success. This is evident in the recent refurbishment of twostunning new state of the art Science roomsas well as further redevelopment throughout the school. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional practitioner to join and lead our highly successful Science team.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • the ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results
  • excellent organisational and ICT skills
  • very good subject knowledge across all science disciplines
  • the capacity to work collaboratively and lead a team
  • a passion for Science and the ability to inspire and share this with young people
  • a commitment to developing in the role through proactive engagement with CPD and own learning
