Job Purpose
The Wraparound Care Supervisor will lead the delivery of a high-quality, safe and inclusive before and after school provision. The role involves organising and running the club day-to-day, ensuring children enjoy a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment with engaging play opportunities that support their wellbeing and development.
The Wraparound Care Supervisor will ensure the provision operates in line with school policies, safeguarding procedures and national standards for out-of-school care.
Main Responsibilities Supporting the Running of the Club
- The Wraparound Care Supervisor will ensure the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the club and will provide feedback to managers as appropriate.
- Promote a positive team culture and attend meetings when required.
- Support and guide playworkers and volunteers working within the provision.
- Provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive play environment.
- Plan and deliver creative activities and play opportunities suitable for primary aged children.
- Encourage children to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
- Supervise children during sessions ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Ensure safe arrival and departure procedures for children.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns immediately.
- Ensure all play equipment and resources are used safely and stored correctly.
- Check equipment regularly and report damage or safety concerns.
- Ensure the club space is clean, tidy and safe at the end of each session.
- Manage daily administration including registers and attendance records.
- Monitor arrival and collection of children.
- Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
- Oversee preparation and organisation of snacks and refreshments.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and school staff.
- Communicate effectively about children’s needs and wellbeing.
- Ensure the safety of children during fire drills, emergencies and daily activities.
- Administer first aid where required (training provided if necessary).

Essential:
- Experience working with children
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to plan and lead engaging activities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organisational skills and ability to supervise groups of children
Desirable:
- Level 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare or similar
- Paediatric First Aid training
- Experience working in before/after school provision
- Patient and supportive with children
- Flexible and adaptable
- Positive and enthusiastic
- Able to work independently
- Committed to safeguarding and child wellbeing
- Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 8:30am
- After School Club: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
