Support Manager job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Support Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play an active role in managing the behaviour of young people between the ages of 8 and 16, with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of ongoing behavioural strategies and interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and families, including managing complex and sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Provide care, guidance, and encouragement to students, promoting fairness, boundaries, and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, stakeholders, and external agencies to support student progress.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills to address complex behavioural situations.
