Actual Salary: £23,753.82 - £24,924.92 per annum (based on 37 hours per week)

Additional fringe allowance of £635 per annum

30-37 hours per week

Monday – Friday (Hours to be negotiated with successful candidate)

41 weeks of the year – term time, inset days plus 2 additional weeks

Start Date: May 2025

Brentwood County High School are looking for a highly motivated and organised Support Officer to join their administrative team. The successful candidate will have experience working within a school environment and will provide administrative support to the school and be the link to the Trust HR and Finance Team. Whilst experience working in a HR or environment is not required, it may be advantageous in this role.

The successful candidate will:

  • Record staff absence on the HR system, issuing self-certificates and return to work forms when absences occur.
  • Collate overtime and expense claim forms in preparation for monthly payroll returns.
  • Support the Trust HR Officer with administration associated to staff absence and preparing recruitment packs for panels.
  • Maintain electronic cash handling systems.
  • Be the finance point of contact for school trips and visits.
  • Organise and supervise orders at the school ensuring value for money and timely delivery of goods including the processing of order requisitions
  • Be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and staff in relation to finance queries.
  • Provide general administrative support to the school.
