30-37 hours per week
Monday – Friday (Hours to be negotiated with successful candidate)
41 weeks of the year – term time, inset days plus 2 additional weeks
Start Date: May 2025
Brentwood County High School are looking for a highly motivated and organised Support Officer to join their administrative team. The successful candidate will have experience working within a school environment and will provide administrative support to the school and be the link to the Trust HR and Finance Team. Whilst experience working in a HR or environment is not required, it may be advantageous in this role.
The successful candidate will:
- Record staff absence on the HR system, issuing self-certificates and return to work forms when absences occur.
- Collate overtime and expense claim forms in preparation for monthly payroll returns.
- Support the Trust HR Officer with administration associated to staff absence and preparing recruitment packs for panels.
- Maintain electronic cash handling systems.
- Be the finance point of contact for school trips and visits.
- Organise and supervise orders at the school ensuring value for money and timely delivery of goods including the processing of order requisitions
- Be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, and staff in relation to finance queries.
- Provide general administrative support to the school.
