Support Team Leader - Behaviour & Attendance job summary

We are looking to recruit a resilient Support Team Leader in Behaviour & Attendance. This role is instrumental in the day-to-day support of students.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Lead the implementation of the CPI behaviour system and support positive student conduct throughout the school day
  • Analyse behaviour and attendance data to inform strategies and provide actionable insights to staff
  • Manage TAs and external support services to address diverse student needs
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.

The successful applicant will be passionate about transforming the lives of young people and bring with them an abundance of enthusiasm which can encourage engagement and commitment from our students. You must have a good standard of literacy, be adaptable, resilient and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and be able to work as part of a team.

In return, you will be joining our team of tenacious, optimistic and talented support staff, who have the support of an experienced leadership team Hamilton School is an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Special School in Reading educating up to 64 students with Education, Health Care Plans (EHCP). Our mission is to recognise each and every one of our students as individuals, and to nurture their potential, developing the whole child through a therapeutic approach. This means that you would have to be a resilient character who is able to remain positive when dealing with challenging behaviour. The school is proud to have recently opened its doors to a state-of-the-art building with wonderful new facilities for both pupils and staff.
