“Being the best version of Sprowston that we can be”

Sprowston Community Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible but reliable, can-do person to fulfil the role of swimming assistant supporting the PE department in the delivery of swimming lessons across Key stage 3. Due to the nature of the timetable the person would need to be flexible in the way the hours are worked to meet lesson requirements, it may be possible to pick up a few additional hours to avoid trapped time but this is not guaranteed. The role requires someone who is a second adult poolside during lessons and to have completed a pool safety course in order to assist in an emergency situation. We will support the successful candidate in obtaining this. During the summer term there are no swimming lessons and therefore the successful appointee will be required to assist with other duties commensurate with the grade potentially in PE or supporting wider admin in the school.

Sprowston Community Academy is a growing 11-18 school serving the North-east of Norwich. We are exceptionally proud of our place within the local community and our strong local reputation reflects this. We are an inclusive school and believe passionately that students need to be equipped as good citizens as well as good learners. The successful applicant will work with us to fully promote this ethos whilst also striving for academic excellence.
