We are uniquely different as a Catholic school. Prayer, worship, Gospel values and the celebration of Mass as well as preparation to receive the Sacraments are central to what makes us a Catholic school. Jesus is at the centre of all our work, relationships and dealings with each other.

St Joseph’s is a Good School. (Ofsted September 2019). Its staff and leaders are confident in the strong teaching and learning opportunities they are providing for the children as well as having a clear vision, and direction for further improvement.

The Quality of Education is GOOD, Behaviour and Attitudes are GOOD, Early Years is GOOD and Leadership and Management are GOOD.

We will continue to strive to maintain these high standards for all.

St Joseph’s is a school where everyone is encouraged to achieve their best. But in addition to raising academic achievement, we also aim to develop character, embed important values for life and build confidence and self-esteem. Our aim is to enrich the lives of our children and to provide a breadth of opportunities for everyone.

St Joseph’s has wonderful children who want to learn, and dedicated, caring adults who always put the children first.

The interior of the school is warm and welcoming with big airy classrooms, high quality resources, interactive whiteboards, well stocked ICT equipment and happy, smiling children. We have a large sports hall for P.E lessons and extra-curricular clubs as well as for use by the community. We also have a school hall for assembly, worship and lunchtimes.
