We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our one-form entry school, where teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of our success. Staff regularly share ideas and work closely together, fostering a supportive environment for both personal and professional growth. This is a full-time, permanent position to start in September 2026.
Blandford St Mary Primary School is a popular mixed-gender, one-form entry primary school in Blandford St Mary. We have a PAN of 210 children, arranged into seven classes - Reception through to Year 6. We offer excellent standards of care, guidance and support, and a high-quality learning environment to support all learners equally. We achieve above national expectations through the delivery of rigorous, engaging learning. The school upholds an ethos of high expectations that provides children with challenging opportunities where they acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence that can be applied to all future learning experiences.

We are looking for a teacher who:
Has a passion for teaching in Year 1 and a commitment to ensuring strong early reading and phonics skills (support and training provided for ECTs);
