Clare Mount Specialist Sports College has a record of high standards and was again recently judged 'Outstanding'. The school is one of the largest special secondary schools in the UK for students with moderate learning difficulties, speech and language difficulties and additional needs, including Autism.

We offer a rich curriculum emphasising both core and broad academic subjects, whilst providing the facilities, time and specialist staff to ensure students develop across a range of subjects. The role will entail leading mixed key stages to support the learning of individuals who have social, emotional and mental health needs through teaching effective strategies and you will have responsibility for developing the curriculum, assessment and quality of teaching. You will have a chance to collaborate with other teachers and leaders within the school where there are numerous opportunities to develop knowledge and expertise. The successful candidate will be:

• have up-to-date knowledge of subject curricula and assessment requirements for mixed key stages.
• be passionate about all aspects of the curriculum, education and the importance subjects have in the wider culture and ethos of the school.
