What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Plan and deliver lessons independently, while aligning with curriculum guidelines and instructional objectives, under the guidance and support of a subject leader/mentor.

  • Lead classroom instruction to foster student engagement and participation, adapting teaching approaches to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to seek guidance and support in managing classroom dynamics and creating a conducive learning environment.

  • Engage in regular discussions with students, parents, and colleagues to provide support and feedback, fostering a collaborative learning community.

  • Adhere to school policies and procedures to promote a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.

  • Work with the subject area team to establish clear principles for accurate monitoring and reporting of student progress, with a focus on continuous improvement in teaching practices.

  • Engage in professional learning opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with current practice, taking responsibility for personal professional development.

  • Comply with requests from the subject leader/mentor to undertake additional tasks or training as needed.

  • Contribute positively to the academy, upholding the school’s visions, values, and guiding principles.

  • Model professional behaviour and attitudes within the school community, reflecting the highest standards of conduct.
