Reception and Year 1 Teacher at Windwhistle Primary School

Hours 0.4 FTE, working Thursdays and Fridays

Grade TMS/UPS (actual salary will depend on experience) plus excellent employee benefits

We are looking for a dedicated teacher to join us on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2023, contract commencing as soon as possible.

You will have a strong commitment, high expectations and the ability to lead a class team, enabling them to further improve children’s progress.

You will contribute to the continuous development of our high quality, well-resourced and purpose-designed early years’ provision. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of young children’s development needs, common learning and behavioral difficulties and have recent experience of working in an EYFS setting.

You will be part of a strong and supportive school team, which includes a preschool. There will be plenty of development opportunities through excellent CPD across our multi-academy trust.

The role is for a teacher who:

  • is an excellent classroom practitioner with proven high quality teaching experience
  • can plan and deliver teaching and learning which enables children to make good progress
  • makes accurate and productive use of assessment
  • develops effective and informed practice in partnership with the Reception team, families and external professionals
  • is a highly effective team member
  • is inspirational, creative, flexible and enthusiastic
  • is prepared to challenge and be challenged to contribute to our high quality provision which promotes high quality outcomes
  • Is committed to working within our learning community of schools both inside and outside of our trust.
