What the school offers its staff

Brentwood School is an outstanding special school which specialises in the education of students with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex needs and autism. Our school benefits from fabulous facilities and is co-located with a post-19 college. Student numbers are set to increase over the coming years and an extension to the building is currently being constructed and is set to open in September 2025.

Class teachers are expected to teach a range of subjects across the curriculum, so we are interested in hearing from primary school teachers as well as secondary teachers with an interest in SEN.

This role is suitable for ECTs and we provide full ECF support.

We provide a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing CPD for all staff.

We are a warm and friendly school and value the health and wellbeing of our staff.

Brentwood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment. The post you have applied for is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks with statutory bodies.
