Catchgate Primary School is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Year 4/5 Class Teacher to join our team as we continue to develop our curriculum and drive forward excellence in teaching and learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives and committed to high standards in education.

With the recent appointment of our Executive Headteacher, Jo Woodhall, who leads both Catchgate and Castleside Primary School, this is an exciting time to join our community. As part of our collaborative vision, there are increasing opportunities to work with colleagues across both schools and the wider Trust. We are looking for someone who can deliver consistently high-quality teaching, support pupils' personal and academic development, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of classroom teaching, high expectations for all learners, and a commitment to inclusive practice. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing learning in line with school and national expectations, while fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment. A commitment to safeguarding, excellent behaviour management, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents and external agencies are essential.

This role may include subject or key stage leadership responsibilities, so we welcome applications from teachers with experience or ambition to lead a curriculum area. Please note that we operate a probationary period of 6 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation
