What skills and experience we're looking for
We sit in the east of the city and serve a diverse and vibrant community. The school is close to the Historic Temple Newsam house and has the benefits of large parklands as well as being close to the city centre and all it can offer. We pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming school where children take on responsibilities and behave well. Despite being a two-form entry school, we have a community feel where the staff, children and their families are nurtured and supported.
Our curriculum is built around the values of community, communication and a sense of adventure. This is complemented by our Temple 30 programme, a series of activities which enrich pupils’ learning experiences. The children enjoy their learning; making links to the wider world and preparing themselves to be responsible citizens of the future. At Templenewsam Halton we are a friendly, forward-thinking team who put the needs of the children at the heart of all we do. Living our school values of Motivated, Safe and Respectful, we believe strongly that establishing the conditions for great learning are the foundation upon which our curriculum is built. We are now looking for two teachers – one in KS1 and one in UKS2 to join us as an integral part of our team

- has the skills to communicate effectively and establish caring and constructive relationships with all children, parents, families, carers, external agencies and other professionals
- has the ability to inspire a love for learning, acting as a role model and demonstrating enthusiasm in the delivery and development of the computing curriculum within school of all subject areas – a keen interest in Geography and/or Outdoor Learning would be beneficial.

- has a passionate belief in the ability of every student to achieve.
