CPD opportunities.

Flexible working opportunities

Southwood School is considerate of staff wellbeing and has some opportunities for flexible working.

Further details about the role

We have recently opened an Autistic Spectrum Condition unit at Southwood School, part of the Boulevard Primary Partnership federation (along with Germander Park and Downs Barn Schools). The unit currently has one class but will grow each year eventually to three classes (each with 8 pupils). All children in these classes hold EHCPs.

We are in search of teachers who are motivated by the challenge of supporting pupils with ASC, who can inspire our pupils and help them to enjoy their time at school and their learning. The teacher will lead a small team of support staff in each class of 8 pupils. This is an exciting time for the school with this newly created provision and as such provides wonderful opportunities for a teacher to be involved in the infancy and development of the classes.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
