Bayford is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England Nursery and Primary School for children from 3 to 11 years old which has been at the centre of the village since 1833 when the school was first established. There are currently 98 pupils on roll who come from the village and surrounding areas. The school is organised into four classes: Nursery & Reception, Years 1&2 , Years 3&4 and Years 5&6.
Our caring, family atmosphere is rooted in our Christian values of Courage, Love, Appreciation, Responsibility, Respect and Peace. This can be seen in our professional relationships with each other, the children and our families.
At our school, we provide a creative curriculum to challenge and motivate our pupils and enable them to participate in a range of high quality learning opportunities. We bellieve that children learn best when engaged and motivated and that learning outside the classroom is the way to enage our children. Each class takes part in a full day of Forest School activities each half-term with many other learning outside the classroom opportunities created throughout the year.
At Bayford we pride ourselves in our strong home/school relationships. We encourage an open door policy, allowing parents and staff to meet whenever a need arises. We place a high value on establishing close links between home and the school so that we can effectively work together to achieve the best for our children.
