Due to expansion Great Oaks School has a number of exciting new leadership and teaching positions. Great Oaks School is a large secondary specialist school based on three sites in Southampton providing education for young people with a range of learning difficulties. Great Oaks is part of the Solent Special Education Trust with Rosewood School.

Great Oaks School is seeking a dedicated and experienced leader with SEN experience to join our leadership team. This is a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our school, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and fostering a supportive and inclusive school culture. Working closely with the Headteacher, you will drive school improvement, support staff development, and contribute to the well-being and personalised success of each student, ensuring they achieve their full potential in all aspects of their development.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will be a key leader in delivering our vision and values across all Great Oaks School sites. You will take an active role in whole-school leadership, deputising for the Headteacher when required and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain high standards of Education. You will work closely with the Assistant Headteachers to ensure oversight of key responsibilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for special education and a commitment to ensuring all students can succeed.
Depending on the outcome of the recruitment process, there may be an opportunity to appoint more than one Deputy.
