Teacher in Charge of Resourced Provision (SEMH) job summary
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced teacher to join the Federation of Trosnant Schools, as the Teacher in Charge of our Resourced Provision (SEMH).
The provision currently has places for eight key stage one and two pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and its effectiveness in meeting these needs is recognised in our last OFSTED report and in the outcomes of its pupils.
The successful candidate will have a passion for the inclusion of all children, experience supporting the SEMH needs of vulnerable pupils, and be an exceptional class teacher.
The role will also include:
• Ensuring the effective day to day leadership and management of the Resourced Provision
• Acting as lead professional and class teacher within the provision
• Line managing and supporting the continued professional development of our learning support staff within the provision
• Contributing to the effectiveness of our federation by sharing their expertise and experience in the mainstream schools
• Being a member of our pastoral, behaviour support and inclusion team for the wider schools
The Senior Leadership team, in particular the Assistant Headteacher / SENCo (Inclusion), provide effective support and mentoring, for the post-holder.
The federation believes strongly in effective CPD, and there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their particular strengths and interests. The role includes both PPA and designated leadership time.
