This is a temporary role starting June 2024 or at an agreed date in the Summer Term 2024, initially working as an Intern alongside a Teacher until July 2025. Then, subject to successful completion of the intern year and gaining a place on the Postgraduate Apprenticeship route, as an Apprentice Teacher from July 2025 until July 2026 to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with The Cambridge Partnership (PGTA)

Salary range for Intern: £23,500-£25,525 (Actual £19,749-£21,123) Salary for Apprenticeship: £23,527 (UQT1)

Samuel Pepys is a Cambridgeshire area special school for 123 wonderful pupils (increasing to 165) aged 3 to 19 years living in St. Neots and the surrounding area. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan to meet their individual needs. About the role

This role offers the opportunity to work for a year as a Teacher Intern leading to the Apprenticeship route to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with The Cambridge Partnership, known as the Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship (PGTA) If you are a graduate, or about to graduate, with relevant experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs or with a commitment to training to teach within a specialist environment, we would like to hear from you.
