What skills and experience we're looking for

Kingsham Primary School is set in spacious grounds close to the centre of Chichester. The school has a strong sense of community for the 300 pupils with a set of shared values which underpin the life of the school and drive the curriculum. Our vision is to be an aspirational and inclusive community school where children are continually inspired, enjoy learning, thrive and achieve success.

As an inspiring Class Teacher, you will be joining our school at an exciting time. The school has been on a rapid journey of improvement and has made a significant and positive improvement. With strong leadership, clear vision and a Journey to Excellence plan for the school and staff, you will benefit from being part of a Trust that is known locally and nationally for its excellence in teacher development.

Able to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils to excel, you will provide them the support and encouragement they need as they establish a sense of their own self, gaining in confidence and developing vital life-skills. You will have the skills to differentiate teaching and learning for pupils of all abilities and needs, through current knowledge of best practice in learning and child development.

Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and teachers in their first few years of teaching who would like to be part of our school, helping pupils to develop and progress in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.

What the school offers its staff

The School is part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust family. Each academy has a unique identity, but a shared belief of creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued and proud to be part of the Trust. As a Class Teacher, you will have access to opportunities for professional development and to current research and support from experts in effective strategies for child learning and development.

The school reserves the right to close the application process early should we receive sufficient interest.

For an informal discussion or to visit the school, please contact Mr Dallinger, Headteacher on (01243) 784046, or email sbm@kingshamprimary.org.uk. For full details and an application pack please visit www.kingshamprimary.org.uk or call the school office on 01243 784046.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
