What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Blue Coat Primary School are looking to appoint a class teacher within KS1 to help us to achieve our vision of making our children “future ready”.

The candidates will need to be committed to supporting children in being curious, motivated and independent learners.

You will need to show the desire to always be looking to improve your own practice in order to be the best teacher possible for the children.

We are looking for individuals who put the children’s needs at the heart of everything that they do within the role.

What the school offers its staff

The school leadership structure is in the form of our Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher and our Business Manager. Following consultation with our stakeholders, we have developed an exciting vision for Blue Coat by focusing firmly on the future and how we best prepare our pupils for it. Underpinning this vision are four core Christian Values – all of which are firmly embedded and have significant impact on our whole school community, as recognized within our recent “Outstanding” SIAMS report.

Blue Coat has a committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff who work together to provide the best possible education for our children. We currently have 18 class teachers (from NQTs to Upper Pay Scale 3) and 15 teaching assistants who are supported by a dedicated team of administrative and support staff.

Commitment to safeguarding

Blue Coat CE VA Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment.
