Job description

We are looking for an experienced teacher to cover a temporary vacancy.

St Christopher’s Multi-Academy Trust is a family of 17 primary academies in Axminster, Beer, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay and Tavistock/West Devon. The schools within the Trust work as a community, within communities, to provide every pupil with a high quality, principled education. St Peter's School is a part of a federation with St Rumon’s Infant School in the town of Tavistock. Essential skills and experience

Experience:
Successful experience of teaching KS2 with evidence of at least
good progress and achievement of pupils
Experience of building positive links with parents and the wider community

Teaching and Learning:
Ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning requirements
(depth and breadth) that meets the needs of all learners and
enables at least good progress – stating any particular phases of
strengths
Sound pedagogical understanding of how children learn, including
effective teaching and behaviour management strategies
Highly effective behaviour and classroom management strategies
Ability to use a range of formative and summative assessment
strategies to inform planning and provision
A demonstrable commitment to inclusion
A commitment to developing an engaging and motivating
curriculum rooted in first-hand experiences: making the most of
the school and local environment
